Osteopathic treatment in adults is not aimed solely at recovering from accidental trauma or pain. Its effectiveness is dictated above all by restoring the functionality of all systems starting from the postural one, bringing together the correct functioning of the visceral, cranio sacral and fascial systems. The positions to which our body must be subjected every day cannot be changed at work level but after the treatment you can have small ideas to work on in order to improve your health every day with simple gestures. What do I mean? A practical example can be to analyze together the gestures that are carried out at work to understand which muscles and joints are stressed and which may need practical help both in terms of posture and as an exercise. Osteopathy can be the solution for the prevention of pain and the resolution of trauma, but maintenance is equally important. It is correct to explain to the patient how essential exercise is to help the body in its function. As a former athlete I am convinced that much of the work can be done by the patient at home, re-educating him to manage his body. Generally after 3 sessions the patient already receives the maintenance exercises, only in severe cases is it possible to reach 5 sessions. What if I don't have time to exercise? no problem. The session lasts 45 minutes so the time that will be required at home at the end of the treatments will be only 45 minutes per week.
